A designated, inbuilt filling point decreases the likelihood of overfilling.
Minimal maintenance
A simple lid is used to extinguish the flame and cover the burner opening when not in use, preventing dust or debris from falling into the tank, leaving it clean and safe for year-round use.

Our ethanol fireplaces can be installed virtually anywhere - in walls, cabinets, high rise buildings, commercial / residential / hospitality spaces, indoors and outdoors. Because EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces are ventless, they require no gas line, no electricity, and no chimney for a hassle free and cost effective installation. Our ethanol fireplaces have been designed and tested with safety as our top priority. We have outlined requirements for each ethanol burner, ethanol fireplace insert, and ethanol freestanding fireplace in our collection. These guidelines include minimum room size requirements and clearance recommendations for flammable materials and movable objects. Please refer to our manual for more information.
Why use an ethanol fireplace?
An ethanol fireplace is an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to gas fireplaces and wood burning fireplaces. Is their heat output similar to a gas heater?
Burning bioethanol is similar to gas, but the room doesn't dry out like it does with gas - a more gentle, softer heat is created. Heat-wise, it depends on the models being compared. Some of our bioethanol burners output 15,000 BTU and can heat up to 60sqm of living space. Bioethanol is not, however, on an adjustable thermostat. Some may be turned up and down, but you can't control the room temperature in the same way as you do with gas on mains

A Bioethanol fireplace is an open fireplace that is fueled by bioethanol. A real flame is produced by the lighting of bioethanol, with a by-product being heat in the process. It is a fireplace that needs no flue for exhausting emissions, no utilities such as electricity or gas connection, and it uses a sustainable fuel source.
What are the benefits of using a bioethanol heater compared to heating your house with a reverse cycle air conditioner?
It’s important to understand the difference between “foundation” heating and occasional heating. Quite often these are two completely different yet complementary systems that work hand in hand. Reverse cycle air conditioning doesn't give you a beautiful flame and lifestyle benefits of an EcoSmart Fire. However, By combining reverse-cycle air conditioning and an EcoSmart Fire within your home you can have the ‘best of both worlds’ - effective heat and ambiance.

EcoSmart Fires are designed to be easily installed and operated. Without the need for a flue or pipe connection, EcoSmart Fires are extremely flexible and can be incorporated at any stage of your interior decorating, renovating or building works. EcoSmart Fire’s indoor ethanol fireplaces are ventless, meaning all the heat stays in the room rather than escaping up a flue or chimney like it would with a traditional wood burning fireplace. Increased heat retention also means increased fuel efficiency. EcoSmart Fire’s collection of ethanol fireplaces offer a heat output ranging from 5,000 BTU - 20,000 BTU’s.
