Ghost is a strikingly elegant freestanding fireplace.
Made entirely of glass and steel, the Ghost is a slim framed fireplace that works equally well in residential and commercial spaces. Though its crisp lines and glass body give it a strong modern feel, its transparency allows it to fit into design schemes of any fashion and color.
The Ghost centers around the AB3, a 2.5 litres capacity ethanol burner that has a burn time of up to eight hours. Though one of the smaller units in the Designer Range, the Ghost has the ability to warm rooms up to 20 square meters. An optional glass windscreen is also available.

View AllWhat maintenance is required for ethanol fireplaces?
Clean your EcoSmart Fire unit after you have used 50 liters [13.20 Gal.] of fuel or as soon as you notice black deposits on or near the burner of the ethanol fireplace. Black marks can be removed from the stone, solid surfaces or stainless steel with a mild abrasive washing product such as JIF or similar. It is recommended to test a small area first to ensure the cleaning product chosen is appropriate and will not mark or damage the surface. Burners can be washed as required in hot soapy water (even in your dishwasher) from time to time and the internal mechanics won’t deteriorate like some other brands as all internal parts are stainless steel.
How large of an area will my ethanol fireplace heat?
The heat output of our indoor and outdoor ethanol fireplaces vary based on the model selected. When used indoors, EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces comfortably heat between 215 sq feet and 700 sq feet.
How do you install a freestanding or portable ethanol fireplace?
EcoSmart Fire’s freestanding ethanol fireplaces are designed to be placed into the desired location, secured into position, and operated immediately. We have outlined guidelines that include minimum room size requirements and clearance recommendations for flammable materials and movable objects. Ask us for a model spec of your favorite fireplace.
How safe are bioethanol fireplaces?
EcoSmart Fire’s operating tools, procedures, and proprietary technologies were developed with safety as our top priority. Made from 304-grade stainless steel, EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplace burners go through a deep-draw fabrication process that eliminates the potential for dangerous leaks. Additionally, our patented filling point is separated from the ignition zone and engineered so that the jerry can spout is fully supported prior to releasing the fuel supply. This eliminates the usual splash and spills that would otherwise occur when fuel is decanted into the burner while simultaneously reinforcing the maximum fill line within the burner. EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces release heat, carbon dioxide (the same stuff we exhale) and steam. Allowing you to enjoy a clean-burning flame without the soot, smoke, ash or other harmful substances emitted by traditional wood burning fireplaces. When selecting an installation location for your ethanol fireplace it is important to consider the required minimum room sizes and clearances. What is bioethanol fuel?
Bioethanol (also known as methylated spirits or simply ethanol) is a form of renewable energy. It’s a clear, colourless liquid that’s commonly made from fermenting the sugar and starch components of plant by-products like sugarcane and grain crops.
Do I need to service my ethanol fireplace in any way?
Yes, normal maintenance and care is very important! Instructions are included in the Installation, Operating and Maintenance Manual supplied with your EcoSmart Fire product.
What is a freestanding ethanol fireplace?
Created as standalone units, EcoSmart Fire’s freestanding fireplaces can be assembled in under 5 minutes. These units are completely self-contained and offer the same clean burning flame as our ethanol fireplace inserts without any of the installation requirements. Used as a room centrepiece or even as a space divider, EcoSmart Fire’s portable ethanol fireplaces offer the luxury of fire without any of the restrictions. You can even relocate the units from room to room as your heating needs change.
Can EcoSmart Fires be installed everywhere?
Almost everywhere! EcoSmart Fires cannot be installed into small rooms that are less than our minimum room size which is burner specific. For all other installations, you must comply with our compulsory clearances and installation instructions. Approval from building authorities may be required prior to installation in your area. Please make sure you contact appropriate parties before installing your EcoSmart Fire.
